Music Videos by Sara&Alicia

So I guess the video didn’t take as long as I thought to upload. Here are the links:
1. Semi-Charmed Life – Edited by me
2. Friends Theme Song – Edited by Alicia
3. All Star – Edited by me
here are some outtakes and some footage from the day we made the Friends video:
This morning I took Maggie for a walk, I did a lot of speed walking and I jogged a bit too. It was the perfect weather for it, nice and cool so I didn’t get sweaty. I think Maggie really enjoyed it too. Once I got home I did some stretches and stuff, used some weights and did some situps and pushups. Hopefully I can make this a routine, it did feel great. I even ate healthy too, and I had 5 small meals instead of 3 big ones, and I drank a lot of water.

Tonight I went with Alicia to her boyfriends Lacrosse game. It was a lot of fun to see her again, we don’t get to hang out very often because of her crazy work schedule but I definitely enjoy seeing her whenever I have the chance. We went to Starbucks and got Frappacinos, they were awesome <3. I also got to meet her boyfriend, Yuki again. He’s a really nice guy, which is a pretty big change for her. I’m really happy for her.

Alicia and I have made a lot of “Music Videos” recently (because we need something to do together that doesn’t involve money since we are both broke). The first one we made was Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind, the second one was the Friends Theme Song and the third, which I just finished editing today is All Star by Smash Mouth. I will probably post links to these in my next post since I want to keep them all together and All Star is currently uploading and will probably take the rest of my life to finish.

I have been really frustrated with stupid people recently. I am pretty sure that stupid people are my number one pet peeve. You know, stupid drivers, people who say stupid things, people with stupid opinions. It irritates me to the core how stupid some people can be and just not realize it. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not a rocket scientist and I have my fair share of blonde moments, but frig some people just lack common sense or something. Most of the time I can deal with stupid people but recently I’ve had to avoid them because I am pretty sure I would punch them out or something.
GAH, thank you for letting me vent. It’s like George Carlin says “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”
Love you lots,
Sara xo

Hello everyone! Today Fraser and I had a picnic on his roof, it was awesome, I made sandwiches and salads, but it was VERY cold. So we didn’t end up staying outside for long. After that I brought my friend Karen who I used to work with at Tim Hortons to the SPCA so she could bring back a cat she was taking care of for a while before it could get adopted, Fraser and I got to look at the kitties, I have realized that I actually like cats, which is crazy because I used to hate them. They also had a bunny there, named Tequila, she’s a lop eared bunny and I wanted to take her home so badly. We also got to take a doggie for a walk, his name was Van Goh and he was a very talkative Beagle. After we drove Karen home Fraser and I went to our bi-weekly bible study type thing, we get together with people from our church who are our age and we have awesome food and basically talk about our lives and stuff, it was a lot of fun, I always look forward to it.

I was watching an infomercial for Turbo Jam today. It made me realize that I would really like to get in shape, so I think I am going to start getting into a better sleep pattern, taking Maggie for daily walks/jogs, eating smaller meals, more often, and chewing my food thoroughly.
You know what I heard today? That if you floss, you have a better chance at not having a heart attack? Isn’t that crazy? It has to do with the bacteria in your mouth or something. Anyway, I think I am going to start flossing daily too (well at least try to get in to the habit.
___
OH! So my friend Alicia invited me to go to a Lacross game with her tomorrow. Although I don’t like sports, I love Alicia, and I know she doesn’t like sports either, so I know I will have a great time, and I am super excited. Especially since she’s driving (because I have no gas).
___
I wrote a facebook note today, if you want to read it you can by clicking here. I must warn you, it is pretty boring, but it has some info about me (which is what makes it boring!)
___
Anyway, I guess this is all I wanted to talk about today, by the way I have been looking up some George Carlin quotes and comedy videos, if you haven’t heard a lot from him you should definitely google or youtube him. He’s hilarious. I would also recommend Demetri Martin, he is also very very funny. Here is what I looked like today:

Love you lots,
Sara xo

Today Fraser and I went to try kite flying again, but still no luck, well we ended up breaking the kite, twice. Anyway, that’s pretty much all I did today, we went for a walk and stuff, but other then that it’s been a pretty chill day.
One really neat thing is that Fraser has a park connected to his apartment building on the second floor! So either tomorrow or Thursday I am going to prepare a picnic for lunch time and we are going to eat it outside in the mini park. I am very excited.
___
So today I finally finished putting all new songs on my iPod and setting it up to work on my computer. I got TONS of good songs so now I am very excited to start working out and going for jogs and stuff now that I’ll have music to listen to.
___
It is getting late and I have to get up fairly early tomorrow morning. I know I didn’t talk about much today. I mostly worked on a couple of other posts, like the online window shopping post, and I have started a couple posts about my friends and more personal specific things instead of just day to day stuff. I thought since I said yesterday I would try to post today that I’d better post something. Anyway, here is a picture of what I wore today, with the makeup (I have a really pretty skirt on, but again, you can’t see it.)

Love you lots,
Sara xo
Quote of the day: “Somewhere Between All Our Laughs, Long Talks, Stupid Little Fights And All Our Jokes, I Fell In Love.”
Wow, I haven’t done a post in FOREVER. I can explain: the cord for my laptop is ruined! It will not charge my laptop anymore. So until I get a new one, I and using my moms laptop cord, but she takes it to work during the day. (which is usually when I write most of my posts). I have, however, been keeping track of things that I want to talk about so I don’t forget anything!
___
I made the Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Cake! Here are photos of it:

It is not as pretty as the one in the picture that was with the recipe, but I am not an expert cake decorator. The cake was absolutely amazing. Everyone who tried it LOVED it. The only problem was it was VERY rich, so no one could ever eat their full piece! It was a big hit with my family and my boyfriend.
___
So recentely there has been amazing weather here in Nova Scotia. It’s been sunny and over twenty degrees (which is warm for me!) I have been thoughourly enjoying the sun and the warmth, I’ve gone outside for walks almost every day it has been nice, with Maggie of course. I wore sun dresses, picked some flowers, did some tanning. On Saturday, Fraser and I went kite flying which was tons of fun. But actually flying the kite was hard. I always forget how hard it is to fly kites.
Here is a picture of the flowers I picked:

On one of my walks, I decided to wear shoes that wouldn’t give me blisters, but I did not want to wear sneakers because it was so nice. So I wore flip flops.. and STILL managed to end up with blisters! Guess where? BETWEEN my big toe and the toe beside it. I don’t know if you have ever experienced having blisters there, but it SUCKS.
___
OH I have amazing news that I almost forgot (see, it’s a good thing I made that list). You may have heard about the contest that was being put on by the new Transformers movie and Milk, where you can win a trip to L.A for the premier of Transformers 2. Well Fraser and I entered into it about a hundred times (with all kinds of different codes you can find) and I WON! I mean, I didn’t win the grand prize, I won a copy of Transformers 2 on dvd and a Transformers action figure. Ihave never won anything in my life, so I am EXTREMELY excited about this.
___
Like I said in my last post, for John’s birthday we went to see the new Star Trek movie, and because it was so amazing, I wanted to rent the old Star Trek movies and watch them. So I went to Video Difference and we rented all six or seven of them on bluray, and we watched the first two so far, and I definitely haven’t been disappointed. Also, while we were in Video Difference, I saw that they were selling some bluray’s for $15, so I was looking through the bin and I found Twilight!! And my baby bought it for me, because he is amazing <3
___
I do have lot’s of other things on my list to mention, but I think I will save them for tomorrow’s post, so I don’t run out of things to talk about right away. Here is a picture of my makeup/outfit today, I went for something different because I don’t normally wear green. (I am wearing a brown skirt that falls just about the knees as well, you can’t see that in the picture). Feel free to let me know what you think!

Woah, I am just realizing how huge that picture is, but I am too lazy to resize. Anyway, I will try my hardest to post tomorrow!
Love you lots,
Sara xo

Happy Birthday John!
May 18, 2009
Today is my brother John’s birthday! He turns sixteen today. I remember my sixteenth birthday. I had an interview for my very first job the day of my birthday, had my first job at Tim Hortons by the end of the day. I also got my drivers license that year and owned my first car. I don’t believe my brother will be that far in his life by the end of this year, but you never know how things will turn out.
___
As I said in the last post, we rented a movie the other night, it was not Benjamin Button like I had hoped. We rented Taken, which was a way better movie than I expected it to be. The best feature to me was that the daughter got “Taken” in the daytime so I didn’t have to be scared when I went to bed after. I definitely recommend it if you like the same kind of movies as me. LOL
___
Yesterday night we went to see Star Trek in IMAX for John’s birthday. IT-WAS-AMAZING, it actually makes me want to watch the old Star Trek’s. I give it 174 thousand thumbs up! It was definitely a great movie. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it.
___
When we got home, of course I watched the Survivor finale with my Fraser
. I was pleased with the results. Although I like Stephen a lot, J.T just deserved to win, which was definitely shown by the fact that he got all seven judges votes. Not to mention about absolutely adorable he is!
___
So I have been interested in scarves recently, I mean, I know it’s kind of weird since summer will start soon and everything, but I hear they are in style now. My friend Nadine gave me a pink scarf, and my friend Alicia said she has tons of scarves that she doesn’t wear that she would be willing to give me. So I will definitely be doing some experimenting. Here is a picture of me wearing the pink scarf today:

___
Tomorrow I am dropping Maggie off at the groomers at 9:15, then I am heading to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for those cakes I mentioned. So hopefully I will get the chance in the next couple days to make one of them. I am super excited and I will let you know!
That’s all for today!
Love you lots,
Sara xo

May 16, 2009
We were supposed to go to the cottage for the weekend today. My parents kept putting it off until about 4:00pm, when they decided tojust stay home for the long weekend. It was very disappointing, especially since I had to cancel my plans today in order to go with them.
___
While I was waiting, I decided to start cleaning the house, I clean it every two weeks for money whenever I don’t have enough for my car insurance payment. I ended up finishing it at about 6:00pm. It was a long, boring day. Really all my days are turning into long boring day
___
The funniest part of the day was suppertime. At about 3:30pm I had a Calzone for lunch, then at about 5:00pm my mom calls me down for supper. Guess what she made? Calzones! LOL
___
My boyfriend is gone, and we’ve been texting today, but I still cannot wait for him to get back! I got some good news today! He is coming back tomorrow around suppertime instead of monday!!
___
I really don’t have much else to say, it was a pretty lazy day and I didn’t have any contact with anyone except for family, and I pretty much cleaned all day. We might rent that Benjamin Button movie. If we do I’ll let you know what I think.
Love you lots,
Sara xo

There is a saying that the best things in life are free, so I am putting myself on a quest to find these things, because today I found out I have a total of $15 to my name (not including the $450 I owe my parents). Maybe I will try to convince my insurance company that car insurance is one of the best things in life..
___
Today I woke up early (7:30am) because my boyfriend and I were helping his friend and girlfriend move into their new apartment. It was a very long day of moving, with traffic, the apartments were probably about 20 minutes from each other. My car alone took 3 trips. When everything was all moved in, we stayed to help clean up a bit, but by 2:30pm we decided to take off, and we went to Subway for lunch!
___
After lunch we went back to my boyfriends place to do some laundry and start some packing for his trip tomorrow! He is off to New Brunswick with the Church band to preform with the St. John band at a concert and during the sunday service, I will miss he greatly while he’s gone, plus I’ll be super bored and have no one to talk to.
___
After I left his place I went back to his friends new apartment, because his friend had to work so I kept his girlfriend company and helped settle her in a little more. We are definitely starting to have a stronger friendship now, most likely due to our hours of talking.
___
My entire day ended up wrapping up at about 11:00pm, when I started writing this post (so I am veryyy sorry if this is super boring, I really wanted to get a post in today, because I did so much and I have a terrible memory.) It was a long and exhausting day, and I am definitely ready for bed.
___
Oh! I also wanted to mention that I wish I had taken my camera when I took Maggie for a walk yesterday, I took her to the dingle and it was absolutely gorgeous out!
___
Anyway, goodnight world!
Love you lots,
Sara xo
Quote of the day: “Employee of the month is a good example of how somebody can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.” ~Demetri Martin
Once again, another lazy day. I should seriously get a hobby. The boyfriend is working today, which means I won’t even get to see him. I feel like I am in Harvest Moon. What an awesome game, you are a farmer and you can raise chickens and cows and plant/harvest crops, as well as get a girl to like you and eventually marry you. I feel like I’m in the game because it takes a long time for stuff to happen, so you have to wait around and do nothing a lot, especially in the winter when there are no crops to grow.
___
I was going to exercise this morning, but then I realized that I hate being sweaty, so I didn’t. I really wish that I was more committed to getting in shape, it’s just so hard at first. I even had a dream last night that I was back in Tae Kwon Do and back in shape and it was awesome. (I am a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I had to stop a couple years ago because the school moved and my family was building a house.) Maybe I’ll take my doggie Maggie for a walk later, does walking count as exercise?
___
So I am only 18, and in Nova Scotia you can’t get a credit card until you are 19. But Fraser (my boyfriend) just got his in the mail, which means, now I don’t even have to leave the house to go shopping! So here is my very first purchase, 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette:

I am so pumped, and as soon as I get it, in 7-14 days, I will definitely let you know how much I love it.
___
A month or so ago there were some awesome cake recipes in the Chronicle Herald, and I finally found the recipes again online! So I am super excited to try and make them. This first one is a Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

and the second one is a Hazelnut Brown Butter Cake, which isn’t as pretty but sounds AMAZING

So as soon as I can convince my Momma to pick up the ingredients from the grocery store for me, I will try these out and let you know!
___
The last thing I want to mention is that the lineup for Halifax Rocks 2009 has been released! KISS of course is the main act, and the opener is going to be a local band who wins a battle of the bands type competition before the concert. The four other bands playing are Thornley, The Trews, Econoline Crush, and The Novaks. Which is apparently pissing a lot of people off. But you know what? What are you actually going to do about it? They aren’t going to change the line up if people complain, who cares if they aren’t very well known bands? I am going to look up these bands and learn a couple of their songs so I will have an even awesomer time at the concert! (I know awesomer is not a word)
___
I am also working on a “online window shopping” wish list type post, so you can look forward to that in the near future ![]()
Love you lots,
Sara xo
